- From 5 October 2026 most visitors must buy Kenya Government travel health insurance inside the eTA application; foreign policies are not accepted.
- Apply at least 2 weeks before travel; passport needs 2 blank pages.
- Enhanced Ebola screening for arrivals from Uganda, Ethiopia and DR Congo (FCDO, Aug 2026).
- Yellow fever certificate needed if arriving from (or transiting over 12 hours in) a yellow fever risk country such as Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Burundi, DR Congo, Rwanda or Tanzania.
Approved, or all your money back. All your money comes back if the visa is refused or not issued by the promised date. Not if a traveller gives wrong details or cancels, or is refused entry at the border.
Rules change. The government issues the visa and the border officer decides on the day.
